What Pass Christian does to a window
Pass Christian runs along the Mississippi Sound from the Bay St. Louis bridge east toward Long Beach, and the big houses along Scenic Drive sit on a bluff with nothing between them and the water but the beach. The south wind lays a salt film on that glass within a couple of weeks, and the live oaks that make Scenic Drive famous keep the porches shaded and damp so the salt never quite dries away. Henderson Point, out on the west end, has the Sound on one side and the Bay of St. Louis on the other, and the Pass Harbor adds boat spray and fish-cleaning residue to the glass of the homes around it.
Away from the beach the picture changes. Timber Ridge, the subdivisions along Menge Avenue, and the older streets north of the railroad tracks sit under oaks and pines that drop pollen every spring and shade the north-facing glass enough for mildew most of the year. Out toward DeLisle and the Wolf River the air is heavy and still, and many homes run sprinklers on well water that leaves hard spots on the lower panes. Can you clean the tall glass on the Scenic Drive houses?
Yes. Many of the homes on Scenic Drive and Henderson Point are two or three stories on pilings with a wall of glass facing the water. We clean most of it from the ground with water-fed poles and use ladders where the galleries and railings call for it. Tell us how many stories on the quote form so we bring the right equipment.
Can you work around hurricane shutters and storm panels?
Yes. If your shutters are up for the season we clean what is reachable and come back for the rest once they are down. Accordion and roll-down shutters do not get in the way of a regular clean, and we can time a visit for just before the panels go up.
